A pair of women have been arrested in Perth after attempting a $4 in medical uniforms in an attempted theft.

Police say the pair, who are both men, were in the store when they approached the counter and stole $4 of medical equipment.

“They were able to tell police they were carrying a total amount of medical supplies and they were going to take the items out,” Detective Sergeant Scott Meehan said.

“It is alleged that they had a number of medical items inside their car.”

The pair was arrested and charged with a number other offences, including theft of property, fraud, and breaching a recognizance.

Detective Sergeant Meeham said police had been alerted to the theft and had been assisting the West Perth Police with their investigation.

“At this stage we believe this was an attempt to steal the items,” he said.

Police have released CCTV images of the pair and will be seeking the public’s assistance to identify the pair.
