USA’s women’s national team has conceded the lead against Canada in the CONCACAF Women’s Championship, and now it has to play another game.
The United States were able to extend their lead to 1-0 in the 66th minute when Megan Rapinoe was called for a foul on Mexico’s Joanne Froese.
It wasn’t enough to stop Canada’s Felipe, who converted a penalty in the 87th minute.
Rapinoes penalty gave the US a 2-1 lead.
The USA’s lead over Mexico in the tournament is 2-0, with the top two teams advancing to the quarterfinals.
The next match is on Thursday night, and the final will be played in the USA on May 14.
